Family History Around the World

Throughout history, our ancestors have travelled around the globe, growing the roots of our family trees. This movement has grown since the evolution of travel technology and navigation. 

Keeping track of migration can be tricky, but it has become much easier since the internet has allowed us to take our research abroad. On this page, I will provide you with some key websites for discovering your ancestry from around the world. It is, as always, an on-going project.

The major family history websites, such as Ancestry, do allow you to search for overseas records. Many, with one exception being FamilyHistory.org, will charge extra for this benefit.
